If you are a creative in the UK, then Creativepool are running a useful event in September as part of the London Design Festival called Show + Tell. The event is aiming to be a showcase of creative online and offline work from the design, digital and advertising world.

Good exposure

This is a chance for you to get some free exposure as Creativepool will be exhibiting the best work from its 50,000 online members. If you haven’t already, now is a good time to become a member and upload some good work to your portfolio.

Free training and advice

As well as showcasing creative talent, there will also be some free training and advice opportunities:

  • Portfolio workshops for creatives to have their work critiqued by professional recruiters.
  • Academy Class will be hosting free seminars throughout the day including tips and tricks using Photoshop, Flash and InDesign.
  • Blurb UK will be bringing online and offline together by revealing how every blogger, author, photographer, designer and creative professional can now design, publish, share and sell bookshop quality books.

Win the chance to show you work to industry professionals

10 lucky Creativepool members will be chosen to show off their work on 22nd September to design industry professionals from companies like MySpace, the BBC, Electronic Arts and TBWA. If you’re interested in this get in quick – demand will be high and entries close at the end of August.

The event will be held in London E1 and will run throughout the day of Tuesday 22nd September 2009. See the Show + Tell article on Creativepool’s website for details of how to enter and for more information on the event.
